706 3 point arms where can I find them

I have a 706 with fast hitch. I want to convert it to 3pt but I don't think that the stubs that you put in the fast hitch will work that well since they are fixed and can not swing fom side to side -- I bet hooking up can be a real pain? Anyone with expereince?

Who has or where can I find the actual 3 point arms for a 706. I have the sway limiters so all I think I need are the arms? Yes, no?? I have ones off of a 1206 but they are class 3 arms and the 706 is class 2.

Suggestions or ideas?

Thanks
Greg

Greg,

You need the whole schmear because 3 point and 2 point hitches are completely different. Those lateral blocks for the 2 point won't work on the 3 point because it uses a different sway arrangement from the way I remember the 2-point. Yours has the blocks, right?

Anyway, you've got a tractor that is as common as can be when it comes to the 3 point and hitches are just laying all over the place in salvage yards.

A hitch from any row crop, large frame tractor from a model 706 up thru the 1066, CAT II will fit. They are all the same and there were about a zillion of 'em built.

However, stay away from the small frame tractors 'cause they are all the same but different from the large frames.

Clear as mud? :>)

Thanks Allen -- it does make sense! I am learning a lot as I go -- thought the 1206 would be the same but it's all bigger (class 3). I hope someone responds who has the parts I need.

Greg
