Just got some good news today from my dad. Said he finally got our F-20 running. Guy we bought it from said it hadn't ran in about 20 + years. I'm currently in the Army and have been stationed in Korea the past 2 years and I'll be comming back to the states 4th of July weekend! Can't wait to drive the 20! Sounds like my dad will have it ready for paint and decals by the time I get home. What are your guys opionion about Dupont paint? The first and only other tractor me and dad did was an H and it was painted with paint from the IH dealer and I didn't really like the quality so I'm looking for something better this time around. Also the guy that we had paint our H was an autobody man and didn't use any primer just sandblasted then sprayed the red? What are your opionions about using primer?

Joe,

Where at in Korea are you? Good to hear your time is almost up and you'll be headed back to the states. I am at Kunsan and will be heading for Abilene Texas in September.

Good Luck,
Jim

Been awhile since I was in Kileen. The farm is 20 miles North East of Waco. Take care, and good luck. Maybe we can meet up for a beer in Osan or ??? prior to making the trip back to the states.

Jim

The paint choice is up to you. I used Rustoleum rusty metal primer because the f-20 I did was VERY rusty. Worked like a charm and covered EVERYTHING, even stubborn dirt/grease that is baked on and won't come off.

Check the serial number. All F-20s before #68749 were gray.

hate to have that autobody man paint mine. red primer goes with red paint to get a nice shiny finish.
