fast hitch system raises just fine, but lowers at the speed of a snail. this tractor belonged to my late father in law and was this way 30 yearsa ago. i bought it from my mother in law and want to fix it. local international dealer suggested it might the control valve. has anybody else had any experiences with this problem? please e-mail me or callme at 740-984-4045. thank you

Mine is the same way.

I posted questions here about it when I bought it, and the general opinion was it is normal. When the hitch lowers, the hydraulic pressure is working against the check valve in the block in front of the seat. So it goes slower.

I plow with mine in the spring, and have been using it with a box blade all spring and it works fine, just takes some getting used to.

Good luck,
Bill
