i had a guy call me the other day about a cub he just bought. it has a bearing noise when it is moving and it seems louder in 2nd. gear than the rest. he had the local case dealer work on it and they had it apart twice and replaced about 6 bearings and it still makes noise. any ideas? thanks for now. russ

Can you determine if there might be a bent fork which could be moving 2nd gear too far, or not far enough when engaged? It could be that the sliding gear is making contact with a gear ahead of or behind it when engaged. Try holding a small amount of pressure on the gearshift lever front & backward to see if the noise gets less. Or more.
