the other day i finished mowing the field and parked the tractor to cool, so i could rinse it off. i went to start it maybe a little to soon. it cranked one time and then nothing. i checked the battery its a six volt. it read 6.10v. i pulled the button out and checked at the starter. 4.08v. not enough juice. i have never had a problem befor. could anyone help me. beachbrk1@yahoo.com thanks mike

In original configuration, the battery box is part of the electrical conducting path on the Cub. The bottom of the box agaisnt the casting underneath is critical to proper battery grounding.

Check your cable connections, clean pos. and neg, it sounds like a ground problem to me.
