I just bought a 2444 Serial Number 850xxx. My local dealers can"t tell me what year it is. Does any one have a year to serial number chart for 2444"s. Also where can I find an entire drawbar assy mounting brackets and all. It has 3 point and 540 pto. The dealer said a drawbar assy off a 444 would probably work.

Your parts man is a retard if he can't look up the serial number. It should be right there on his computer.

Now about your serial number... Is it 850 and 1, 2, or 3 more digits? Is it 850 and letters? Is it 850 and some combination of letters and numbers? You've got to have EXACTLY what is on the serial tag for it to be useful.

With that, just click on Serial Numbers to the left and look up the I-444 under International. All the other Utilities (404, 504, 544, etc) include their Industrial variants (2404, 2504, 2544) in the same serial number chain.

If the only digits in your serial are 850, then it is a 1967.

Complete new swinging drawbar and bracket at:

Link

Part#: DRAWBARKIT03

It's listed in my 2005 catalog, they dont list individual parts on their webpage, hopefully they still have them, list price was $150.00

What do the "xxx's" mean? Aren't those numbers legible?

The complete serial number is 850221 on a sheet metal plate riveted above the 2444 decal on the left side. It was just delivered this morning and I couldn't remember the last 3 numbers. On the serial number link 71 ends at 12357 so I gues it is newer than that. I believe they made them until 75.

Szrachnor thanks for the info I'm going to need a draw bar once my old David Bradley manure spreader is restored.

I finally found the serial number it is a 1968. I'm not sure what the 850221 number plate is for.
I'm new to ag tractors even though I'm a mechanic by trade but I did restore a 58 farmall cub (submerged under water for 3 weeks during the 1993 flood) to showroom condition for my landlord at the farm I used to lease before I bought my own. Thanks again for all the help.
