Does anybody know where I could purchase the parts needed to convert a #8 to Hydraulic wheel lift from rope trip?

Take a look in your local Yellow Pages under the category "Welding Supplies." :)

Unless you luck out and find someone selling the parts on Ebay, you're stuck fabricating.

It's actually quite simple to fabricate. All you need is a hydraulic cylinder in place of the linkage going from the clutch lift up to the plow adjustment lever. You'll probably do away with the clutch hub completely and hook cylinder directly to the wheel rockshaft. That is how the first factory hydraulic lifts were done.

Later on IH did away with the lever on the left and used an adjustable stroke cylinder on top of the plow frame, with a triangle shape pivot that powered a linkage going to the left wheel rockshaft.

If you have access to a IH No. 60 trailer plow manual it shows both hydraulic systems as well as the clutch lift. It's really just a continuation of how they did the first No. 8 plow conversions. I have this book with photos, but unfortunately I don't have it scanned or I'd offer to send it along. If you have more questions just ask, or send me an e mail and I'll try to round you up some photos. If you know someone with a No. 60 plow manual that is still your best bet.
