Where is the condensor on an f-4 magneto located and how do you replace it?

While that manual is certainly helpful if you know what you are looking at in the mag, its tough to visualize. The condenser is directly behind the rotor and to get to it, you need to remove the magnet by taking off the top strap and prying up on the bottom of it with a screwdriver, etc. Then take the top of the mag off by removing I think 4 screws that are of course flat blade and probably nigh impossible to remove with it on the tractor. I would suggest pulling the mag before attempting. Once the top cover is off, the condeser, which is longer than modern ones, should be visible. just remember to save the nut off the top as the new ones don't come with one. Hope this helps.
