My 560 Diesel has been unused for several months while I have been recuperating from a nasty infection in my left knee the tractor sat idle for 4 months. When i recently started it it puked a diesel/oil mix out the vent. Looking it over nearly all the 10 gallons or so of fuel has migrated into the engine block . It has a Rosa Master inj. pump. does anybody know just how the fuel gets through the pump? and isit a simple fix? I bought the 560 three years ago and it supposedly had inj. pump overhaul. Any help greatly appreciated.

I thought I was pretty handy with a wrench until I decided to tackle a Roosa injection pump. Then I figured out that I should have been held back two grades and put into special ed... Do yourself a HUGE favor and take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Speaking from experience, you'll save yourself a bundle of $$$$$$...

It's a fairly simple fix. The injection pump needs to come off and two seals on the pump shaft need to be replaced. The rearmost seal on the on the shaft is extremely easy to roll if you do not have the tool to compress it as you slide the pump onto the shaft.

Well if it was all in the crank case then the ft. seal is shot and need replacen , if you know your way around a tool box and the innerds of a diesel engine then it can be a DIY if not then pay someone that knows .
