it sure is handy to have a lathe when you need one. I picked up and old logan 10 x 24 a couple of years ago. Next I want to get a bench top mill and I will be set. Never knew how much youd use a lathe till you have one.

Magman, When I was pulling the sleeves in the H, I went down to local IH dealer shop. One of the mechs in there took me into the tool room, and found a box of pucks. There were at least 20 in rthere. We just located the one that was marked for the H overbore. Take yout Caliper along and just mike out what you neeGordo

Just curious, what brand of lathe did you get?

Chinko Demilo!! At least thats what I think it is. LOL Harbor freights best. It sells for about $800.00 and I got the lathe and a 1 year waranty for $582.00 not bad considering a mini lathe will cost $459.00 there.

I know what you mean about those mini-lathes, I got one of them for free, all I had to do was go pick it up. I spent a couple of weeks trying to make the thing work, finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't ever going to be a precision lathe and basically it was a piece of junk when it came off the assembly line.
