Punch below for a few images from the Western NY 2 Cylinder Club spring plow day in Corfu this past Saturday.

As expected most of the tractors participating were Deere green. However were joined by an Oliver and a Farmall that came and worked too.

Thanks for the photos. I always enjoy seeing pictures of these tractors at work.

I don't have all that much experience plowing. We havn't plowed much around here for over twenty years. What little I've done though led me to the realization that it is very satisfying. I don't know if it is seeing the dark earth turned over and smelling the soil or what. Whenever I plow I always get the feeling I'm accomplishing something, almost noble. (when the furrows are almost straight, anyway)

I realize if I had to plow a hundred acres with a two-bottom plow my attitude would probably change some ;)
Thanks again,
Paul

Dang it Bob! Why didn't you call and I could have loaded up the super C and been there in two days and $4000 dollars of fuel later. I could take those straight rows and put a little side to side sway in them.

Great pictures, liked the 770 LP best, but I'm partial to LPG equipment. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

There's a lot of green in those photos!!! Must be spring I guess. Do they just bring out the red at the fall plow day?

Well.....it IS a 2 Cylinder Club-sponsored event. So having mostly green tractors is pretty much to be expected!

The last fall plow day however had several Farmalls and Olivers participating - also my good 'ol Minne-Mo U.

Thanks Bob,

My very first "paying" job was running a John Deere 70 and a two bottom, two way drop plow for my uncle.

Plowed for three straight days in the month of March and got paid $21. Darned near froze to death, but I thought I was rich when it was over! :>)
