IH Axle Housing Part Numbers:

Standard Duty 2 1/2" Axle:
Left Hand: 360541R1
Right Hand: 360542R2
(Fits Farmall's: 300,350, International Utilities: 300,350)

Heavy Duty 2 3/4" Axle:
Left Hand: 364649R1
Right Hand: 364650R1
(Fits Farmall's 300,350)

There should be a raised or depressed casting number on your old axle housing resembling one of the above numbers. Casting number on broken part and new(or used)part should match unless the dealer or salvage yard can prove that there is an updated or crossed-over number.

Been down this road before...yes and no. There were 2 sizes of axle in a 350. A light one and a heavy one. Mine had the HD one because dad had a mounted 2 row corn picker on it.
Ya gott measure the thing and then cross reference with CIH as to what will fit and what will not.
Bottom line...I think the light duty was the same as a SH, the heavy duty the same as an M.
Good luck.

I found that one axle is larger than the other. The size of the thing around.
