I have a 1968? International 434 diesle tractor. The reverse gear was causing trouble,so i took the top of the transmission apart to find that the gear had dropped down. The one on the right bottom as you sit on the seat....i was told that this was 1 st and reverse gear?.It is supposed to be in a sleeve, and i guess a pin holding it in.Now,i have to get a pin ,but the big question is...how do i get the bushing for it?The gear shaft needs a bushing, for it must have had one,it is just slopping around in the sheeve,in the tranny.I found what looks like a part of a bushing,a thin piece of metal, all ground up.The gears look good, all of them.I called the tractor place here in N.S,and they told me that they dont make the front bushing anymore, only the back one. What can i do here?I need a front bushing? Thanks!

I would have one made for it if none are available.
A good machine shop will measure it up and fab the parts from cintered bronze. I would suggest that you get the pieces out of the gear box. They can be moved about and get between two other gears, Not Good.
