I finally finished the overhaul on the 300 and much like River Bottom Farmer I was very excited when it fired right up and purred like a kitten. This was my first major engine overhaul. I've been working the last 2 weeks gettin her ready for paint,I just layed down the first 3 coats and she looks great. (I will add a couple more tommorow I Hope) I want to thank Kelly C for the encouargement to tackle this project and Tractor Vet for his engine tips as well as all of you who have been a great help. I have read and printed many post as they apply to me and they were a big help. I will attenpt to post pics when i'm done.
Sorry for the long post i must be EXCITED Rick

Way to go Rick, glad to hear its running, still working on the H getting closer and closer.Got seat steering wheel and throttle rod painted and assembled. Also had to repair the power wire inside my starter it burned into when my sister came over to hear it run,but that done now and it starts and runs fine again.Let us know about your progress it helps others in the middle of a big project to keep pressing on.Congratulations River Bottom
