River BottomFarmer,
Congrats on getting the H up and running.Nothing like hearing it run for the first time especially after all the hard work!

Congats on the H runing. I know the joy of the 1st one. Had my H in peices a few winters ago as the previous owner was too cheap to replace the lost pipe from the air cleaner to the carb, and used it for pulling a drag, ya it was bad. Wife shook her head everytime she came out to shop to see my progress, and if I needed more beer. Even installed pistons the same day she made me get the jewels snipped (payed for that one for a week later). Other than one hell of a back fire , due to timing off 180, she ran like a fine tuned machine. It is a good feeling to take a basket case and make it run. Sooo, whats next paint or another project?

Tore tis tractor down all the way the only thing that was setting there was the transmission housing. After I got the running gear all back together.I painted all of it.Didnt paint the smaller parts at first. But have all of that painted and back on now.Just lack the seat fenders, steering post sheet metal and wiring.Have all my sheet metal repaired and primed just lack paint on that stuff the mig welder and sand blaster I bought really speeds up the clean up and repair.Have a 122 cub cadet for my sons for my next little project it has the implement lift and a one bottom plow with it.I have an old disk that needs alot of work I m going to cut it down for them to use.A seat belt and a small ROPS will absolutely be added to the cadet Dont wont dead kids just want to teach them some things..... ..River Bottom Farmer

I did see that post about 1:00 this morning, wasn't awake enough to give a reply. I do know the feeling, nothing quite like it. It reminds me of when my 1940 H first woke up and came back to life after having been abandoned for about 17 years. It was almost like the tractor was telling me that it had been ready to go all along and wasn't too happy about being neglected.

Well I figure with spring here. Were all busy doing the things we've been thinking about all winter. Everyone will soon settle down again. Summers just beginning.

Sometime I like to stop just long enough to smell the roses.

Everytime I stop to smell the roses I get a bee in my nose.

CONGRADULATIONS !!! I got the jitters when my 1755 was fired the first time after a VERY expensive rebuild . I didn't do the engine work though since I don't have a dry place to work on my stuff . No indoors for the machines ya know just the animals . And I see that it's stopped raining for the time being so I have to get outside and continue working on the plow . Have fun ! ..Randy
