I've replaced the wear sleeve and seal, but still have an oil leak when the tractor sets for a while. I'm thinking that the oil trapped around the belt pulley shaft it isn't draining back. Is there a drain back hole through the inner bearing web casting, under the inner belt pulley shaft bearing or does it simply drain back through the inner bearing, leaving some oil trapped? If so, what's supposed to keep oil from leaking between the wear sleeve and shaft? Somebody have one of these opened up and can look? I'd sure appreciate it.

Yes there is a drin hole in that casting. I run a small wire thru them to make sure they are open. The wear tube is "clamped" between the bearing and the pully and thus oil should not leak out past the tube. Having said that, they are very diffacult to stop leaking. Dave.

I'm aware of the drain back hole at the bottom of the pulley shaft's outer bearing retainer, but it's the existence of one below the inner bearing I'm asking about. Just to make sure we're on the same page, is it a drain back hole in the bottom of the cast web that carries the inner bearing that you're confirming indeed exists?
