I"m looking at a Farmall 130.

The tractor is 20 mins. from my place. Had no idea it"s been there for years. Good shape. 1957. Serial #1496J.

Ed: Now your talking tractor, you'll see a big difference between these and a Cub. The SA through to 140 can play with the big boys.

I wouldn't modify the Cub blade, in fact I wouldn't even buy a factory blade for the 130. These factory blades are only 5', put 6' up in front of that 130 and you've got a snow machine. Send me an email and I'll return you some detailed photos of my fabricated 6' angle blade. I've rebuilt this blade 3 times, thus included will be a list of the mistakes I made along the way. You will think this blade looks quite heavy duty. It takes that to withstand what the 130 can dish out.

Hey EZ, Long time no hear !!! The blade I use on my 42 was originally a Cub blade, we welded extensions on each side, Im thinkin 7" on each side to make it 68" and also on top.

Still got the Cub ? I knew you would want to go back to a bigger machine:")

How was hockey season ?

scotty,

I feel like I'm "coming home".
We had a great hockey season. I tried to send you some pics of this years rink but my email kept coming back. The 130 looks like a beauty. Been settin' outside a long time, but very little bumps and bruises. I think it needs new brakes. I know the guy who was into the engine. They had to replace the oil pump.

Great to hear from you.

Send me a note at edrendell@xplornet.com

Do a compression check. Even with a good engine thats about as high as I would go, but it is nearby so no shipping charges.

Hugh Mackay,

If you're looking in on this.
It has a blade, but not original type. No angle allowed. Just a big bulldozer type. I'm wondering if I can modify my Cub 54A to work on it. No good to me without a good blade. May have to look into a blade from a Super A.
Buddy wants $2500.

Good looking tractor - I think it's basically a Super A.
