My brother wants to know the years that the Trojan Utility Speed Patrol Farmall M Grader were built, the serial number is FBK85974X1. If you know where to find this out or if you have any information on this, please let me know. Thanks!

I believe (but am not certain...) the base Farmall tractors were shipped to the Trojan plant in Batavia NY. There they were modified into finished grader machines.

If you type in "Trojan utility grader" and search the archives here, I see there are 10 entries from past years. Maybe there'd be some helpful info there for you.

That serial number makes the tractor a 1944. The Farmall M was built from 1939 through 1952, and then it became a Super M from 1952 and 1953, and in 1954 the tractor became the Super MTA. The Trojan speed patrol company bought the Ms from International Harvester and converted them into the road graders. I do not know what years the conversions were done.
