Does anyone have a pic of the shift lever? I am looking at a 300u, but it appears the lever was broke off. Does anyone know where to get one or could one be made easily?

Did the lever break off (very unlikely) or was it removed because the TA was not functional? Usually when the TA is out, people put it in the forward position and then remove the lever so it doesnt acidentially get moved.I would be more interested in if the TA works, rather than shopping for a lever yet.

How would one go about finding out if the TA works without the lever to shift it?

Phone conversation goes something like this:

You: "Hello, Friendly Local Tractor Salvage Yard? Hi, I need the T/A lever for a 300 Utility."
Them: "Come on over, we have piles of them."

Maybe a little too much looking through the rose-colored glasses, but you get the drift, right? In other words, give your local tractor salvage yard a call. They'll either have one, or know how to get one.
