Lift-all removal hints?

I need to remove my lift-all on my M to replace the seal in it. I know that the coupler needs to be lined up correctly to drop the pump. How do you get the coupler on the tranny side off? Does it screw off or what? Just would like to have everything cover so I don't get any surprises.

Thanks,
Bobg

On the M, the coupler is a disc with cross pieces formed at right angles on opposite sides.

It will fall out when removing the Lift-All; tape the coupler to the transmission coupler drive when reassembling and have it aimed straight up & down. Align the driven part on the Lift-All and slide them together on the way up.

The drive coupler on the transmission is threaded on; turn left to remove. Put the transmission in reverse and lock the brakes to allow you to loosen the coupler drive.

You can completely remove the coupler with the Liftall in the tractor. It just slides out after you remove two roll pins, one on each end.

Nat, that is true for an H, an M is different, the coupler has to be removed at the same time the pump is dropped.
