I never could get that cadet site to show a wiring diagram. Get an error message on the M70 Kohler type. I have had it hooked up neg ground (for years) just had a thought all Farmalls are pos ground. Wonder if that's my problem. Going out there tomorrow to look at it.

Check ALL wires & connectors in the voltage regulator/ wiring harness area. Due to vibration, many of these wires tend to break where they are connected to their terminations. Check also for wires which may have broken back toward the instrument panel. My brother had a wire come apart which carried 12v. from the solenoid up to the bat, terminal on the regulator. Use a voltmeter to check for voltages at different points in the system to pinpoint faulty connections or parts.

You need to check all the wire connections at the
regulator. Those terminal spades on the regulator get rusty over time if left in a damp area. That rust is a good insulator. Had that happen on a JD 140 garden tractor. It had the stator in the flywheel and there was voltage from that. After cleaning the regulator's terminals
the amp meter then showed charging. Hal

I don't know what model you have, but both of my Cub Cadets are 12V negative ground.

If you want a definitive answer, go over to the garden tractor board, R Bedell over there is very knowledgeable about Cub Cadets.

I think it would have been negative grounded. Hal
