I posted a few weeks ago about my Artsway mower leaving grass high in the middle. Well once again you all where right. I turned the belt adjuster out about 3/4 of an inch and got that belt much tighter. No more high grass in the middle. One more bonus is now my deck makes far less noise than before. That belt used to shake alot and make an awful racket. Purrs like a kitten now. Thanks Huge, Rusty, CNKS and others that posted.

Paul,
How did you adjust the belt? I bought a used BMB finishing mower and need to tighten the belt. I looked it over last night and couldnt figure it out. I am a newbie with mowers with belts so it doesnt take much to overhelm me. I assume that it should be close on all mowers. Thanks. Ed

Mine has 2 of the pulleys that slide with two jam nuts on all thread. Turn it one way loosens and the other tightens.

We mowed the yard yesterday for the first time but didn't cut much except chickweed in spots.
