How much does a 856 weigh ? I just bought a 856 diesel, not sure that my gooseneck will handle the weight.

Everybody gives shippen weight and beleive me there are none that ONLY weigh that that's like asken a dispatcher how far it is . Ok , my 806 narrow ft. fast hitch diesel with 18,4x34 loaded weighs in just a wisker under 12000 with out me in the seat a tad over with me in the seat add a 1000 up ft. then add three sets on the wheels and where ya at if it had a wide ft. be close to 14000 so ya had better have a good tandem dual trailer and a good one ton to pull it with . I have never went by shipping weight as it will get ya in troubel like haulen a dozer and going by shipping weight on them as we learned the hard way after bending the axels on a tri axel while haulen a J D 450 as we were told wrong as it did not just weigh the 13000 that was clamed it was more like 18000 . Trailer weight is figured as gross load not what ya can put on the deck so if the tag sayes that it is a 14000 lb trailer then take off what the trailer weighs and what is left is what ya can safely haul on the deck if it is loaded correctly.

5 tons is empty weight, right?

Wheel weights will add 300lbs per pair.

Fluid in the rear tires will add about a ton.

Suitcase weights will add about 100lbs each.

That was what I was refering too, added weight can depend on the indvidual tractor. I have a 756D no wheel weights but it has a year round cab on it, the book shows 9200 but it crosses the scales at just over 10000, and that doesn't count all the junk that is in the cab now, so I will assume any one would be smart enought to add all that it.
