Farmall H is really coming along nicely really need to get it done so I can mow the farm and get the garden ready, but I dont want to rush the job really trying to do a nice restoration. This is a working restoration and everything really needs to be done right for everything to hold up.Have nearly the whole running part of the tractor back together, just lack the seat assembly and steering support/light bar assembly steering wheel.Have to get them prepped and painted.Still quite a ways to go and I am really anxious to hear her growl again. I will never part with this tractor have really grown attached to her since we have spent so much time together this weekend. My two sons have spent alot of time helping me clean parts and my seven year old son even primed and painted all the brake linkages and really did a nice job.My youngest son painted the P.T.O. assembly and helped me put it on tonight. They come up with her name last night at the dinner table. They decided to call her ole Mable after one of our late coon dogs.It made me tear up just a little,I still miss her too.Sometimes kids can really touch you way down deep.I really hope they carry all the memories of this farm with them where ever they go.Cant wait to help them grow there crop and sell it at the farm markets this year. Its gonna be great..... Sorry this was so long just needed to say it to somebody who might like to hear it. The misses is working night shift tonight and all the kids are asleep.Hope this brings back memories for some of you.Really appreciate all the help I ve been given on here and hope to be able to help when I am needed. I think that's the thing I regret most about not staying in the farming racket and raising the family in that environment. I can think of no other profession that gets all of the family members involved and teaches/validates the tenets of hard work, responsibility, and teamwork. If every kid grew up in that environment, this old planet would be a better place to live. Amen!
