Hi, I have a 674 International diesel. I bought it knowing it would not move. The guy I bought it from said he had a clutch installed 3 months ago but now he thought this clutch had gone bad. When I split the tractor the clutch disc and pressure plate looked good but the flywheel had seen some better days. Had the flywheel machined down and now I was wandering if I have to change the finger adjustment on the pressure plate ? How tight is the throw out bearing suppose to be up against the pressure plate fingers with no pressure on the clutch pedal? Thanks for your time and any help
Scotty

Hi Scotty, according to the I&T Shop Service manual there is supposed to be 1 3/4" free travel on the clutch pedal measured from the running board. Make sure the clutch pedal return spring is not broken. This spring keeps the clutch in the rest position 6" from running board and also keeps the throughout bearing from touching fingers on pressure plate.
