Couple things to try. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the carb. Do you have a good steady flow of gas?? If you do then you have a problem in the carb or manifold area. If you don't have a good flow of gas then you have clogged lines and or the float isn't working right. Pull the air cleaner tube and hold you hand over the air intake of the carb and try to start the engine. It should suck hard on you hand and also cover your hand with gas. If it doesn't do either then you have a vacuum problem and need to fix that. But who knows it might start if you do that. Seen it happen many times

Outlet to gas tank plugged (dirty gas tank), sediment bowl plugged, inlet screen inside carb plugged (detach fuel line, remove screen from inside carb), float level wrong, initial setting of carb wrong, etc. Remove drain plug from carb, you should get a steady stream of gas. "Professionally rebuilt" carb does not mean much, as a monkey can rebuild one of those things. It helps a LOT to have operators, service, and parts manuals. Then at least you have a starting point.

I expected someone to comment. There are many things in a manual that you would not otherwise know. Anyone, even those familiar with the particular tractor needs a manual. Besides, he got his answer. Um--are you afraid to give your name??

Put CNKS in the search at the top of the page and see how many posts I have been involved in. The number is 21415+ That does NOT mean I have answered 21415 posts, as those are the number of responses in all the threads -- I think I have given people a lot of help. What's your number?

Now that I know who I am talking to, yugrotcart (tractor guy), you usually give good answers, at least under your own name. You have been involved in 1025 posts under that handle. I still recommend that the first thing a person should do after buying a tractor is get the manuals for it. Then ask questions, just as I have---.
