at a local tractor dealer there is a rather dilapidated old farmall 300 or 400. I can't be sure cause all the tin is removed an there are no numbers on it. The tractor has a farmhand loader that has a pto driven hydrolic pump. The loader looks to be ok except for a few oil leaks. I was wondering if the loader would fit on my farmall H? Are farmhand loaders any good? Also approx how much are they worth? Thanks a bunch!

You can tell if it's a 300 or 400 by the angle of the steering shaft up to the steering wheel. A 300 will have quite a steep angle, while a 400 will be almost flat.

The 300 and H have the same frame width, so the loader will bolt right on.

My 300 has the same PTO drive Farmhand on it and it works great. I don't know about the swap to a H.

I remember more than 40 years ago dad took the loader off the H and put it on the 400 because it had a better hydraulic pump and he was moving some dirt into the barn. Also the extra weight and power didn't hurt.
