Want to replace the U-joints on the Farmall B, as it had a lot of slop in it. Tried soaking, heating and pounding, finally had to torch both yokes to get it apart. Where's the best place to buy both yokes and cross? Thanks

Torching it was bad news i just put a clamp on them to press together on both ends then just heat with a torch and let cool takes play rite out of them.

If this is factory origional it is not a traditional U joint. You can not buy new, origional joint and traditonal doesn't look right but I haven't found any better solution. Dave,

Mine was extremely bad. Went to a local welding shop, they had new yokes & traditional ujoint. Same size, looks very close to original, at less than 1/4 the price of new from Case

I just priced yokes at local CaseIH dealer. $125/each. Ouch!
I was able to get the new cross though, they had it in stock for $17.
I've got so much other stuff that needs fixing on this old girl that I'm about running out of budget. (although I totally expected that, cause if you want to do it, you might as well do it right)
Would you mind sharing the welding shop name/contact/phone number with me? Might be able to get it through them?
Thanks
DJL
