Have a Farmall C. Not sure where oil add site is on tractor for crankcase. How is oil check done? CAn I use Mobil-One? I'd like to use Mobil-1 and Rislone (1qt). How much oil does the crankcase hold? Next is to change the oil in the rear-end. What kind of fluid? I'm a real novice, but love my old tractor. It's been setting in the barn. I start it occasionally to let it run 10 min.

Use a brand name 30W or 15W-40 in the engine. Forget the Mobil 1, it is total overkill for that tractor. You don't need the Rislone either--all it does is make money for the manufacturer, modern oils have all the additives they need.

Remove the small breather cap that sticks through center hood. There's two check valves on the oil pan. Fill til it starts to run from the top valve. Crankcase holds 5 qts. Use 85W-90 gear oil in trans/differental. The types of oil to use is countless, if it is not a new rebuild, I usually use a good brand of 30W.
