I am working on a SC that was froze up about 6 years,I now have it broke loose.I broke 2 sleves and one piston.I have 4 sleves that are over size and 3 pistons,I cant find a 4th piston thats like the other 3.I have found a piston that is the same dia.but has a extra ring grove, will this affect the running of the motor,or will it be out of balance,I know this is improper mechanics and if it was mine I would put a new rebuild kit in it.But the owner which is 80 doesnt want to spend much money

I have a complete S/C engine. Was a good runner. I'd let it go reasonable as block is cracked at front bolster.

James If the old man don't care about horse power and the parts from a c113 A block will work. I have a block that the boy broke the front off.It was a good runer with good oil presure. Don't know if they will fit. Bill 989-292-0644

That engine probably needs the engine completely
torn down and the crankshaft cleaned and measured
too. A new sleeve kit would make the tractor worth more if he ever decided to sell it. That block needs to cleaned of all rust and dirt where those sleeve seals are installed even if you use
used parts, you need new seals too. Hal

Like my father used to say, "If a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing right"

I would at least find 4 matching pistons, in useable condition. Post what you need, I bet someone on this site has them.
