I am not sure about the earlier combines, but our 105 made by IH in the 60's-70's with the C-153 didn't have a provision for throttle control. It only had a setting for idle and a setting for wide open throttle, the idea being that users wouldn't complain that the shakers weren't doing their job or were clogging up, which was caused by running the machine at too low of rpm. I am not sure if it was accomplished by the operator platform linkage at the front or if the carb and governor were differently designed. Maybe someone else can give you more info. I don't think there was a combine with an M motor. The only longshot I can think of was the 140 combine, which used a Farmall 300 motor. Good luck.

Chadd, I think you are correct. I've never seen an IH combine that had a carburetor which would interchange with an M, because, as you said, there is no provision for a governor connection on the combine carb. I suppose it may be possible that the bowl portion of the combine carb might interchange with the M, but I am not sure of that.
