I saw an Ih 3588 at a used tractor dealer 2 day,s ago,
The guy said that 1st and 2nd was out, But all he wanted was 3,500,as is,
What would be a decent cost for a 1st and 2nd gear redo?
I started it,It ran good all thing,s worked in cab, albiet needed a ;little tlc,
grill was missing and that,s it, clock had 5,200 hrs on it,
Should I run away, or stay and think about this?
K,C,

Thats a big job on a 2+2 and will require a double split and about a grad or better in parts and while you where there it would be the time to install a new T/A and clutch and that will be another grad or better plus fixen the center pivot pins so before you are done you will have about 8-9 grad in repairs with labor as this is not one of them tractors that is for the DIY as i needs specil splitting stands and no you can not barrow mine.
