8 miles from home, working on the school back-stop. She quit, dead in 'er tracks. I had replaced the two gas filters yesterday because of the rust. Only thing I can figure is some got into the carb. I had good fuel flow thru both filters, but none thru the carb. I took the needle valves out, blew a little gas through them, re-set; bang, she fires right up. Sure didn't miss taken that 8 mile hike!

I love the 460. Grew up on one and the 560 in the 50's and 60's. She has the fast hitch with 3 point conversion, got her with an IH 2001 loader and a 7 foot back blade. I can get hydraulic filters for her at NAPA, tune up kits are still available, as are a lot of other parts. Have to admit, she's kind of a heavy old girl, not nimble like a 3 cyl diesel from across the pond, but she'll pull all day long.

You should put a posting on here for CNKS from MO,
he just finished a complete engine rebuild on his 460. It may have been last year or in 2004. Hal

Not exactly. I have the kit, machine work is done, but engine is not yet assembled. Still working on misc other repairs, painting, etc. I'm in Kansas. Tractor is totally disassembled except for the TA and transmission.

I thought you had finished that tractor. MO isn't far from Kansas. Hal

I work very slowly, and everything that can go wrong does. Besides if I work slowly, I spend less money. Kansas and Missouri are only a fraction of an inch, or less, apart, but I live 350 miles from MO, might as well be another country.

You see what the those Lady Terrapin's from MD did to Duke? Slow moving isn't so bad. Hal
