WD9 Precup removal. Any suggestions?

I'm working on a WD9 that as you might suspect, had a cracked head. Well I finally found another head but the last person to work on it installed the precups a half-turn out of whack. Who knows how long it has ran like that, and could do again but I can't put something together wrong and want to remove them so they can be installed correctly.

The trouble is; how do I get them out? I had to build a puller to get the injectors out and they came out HARD so I imagine the precups are stuck just as bad. Any suggestions?

I have a NOS set of the injector cups if you end up needing new ones.

If you have access to dry ice, you could try some in the cups. Another idea is a die grinder to cut down the side to relieve pressure[ of course this means new cups]. Hy Vee stores carry dry ice.

They can be a pain in the donkey as carbon builds up around them and when ya go to get them out the fight is on , I use spray carb cleaner and penatrating fluid and a brass drift and also a internal pipe wrench . Light tapping spray tap spray tap light twisting a littel heat but not to much just to warm it up and let it cool . There use to be a tool for pulling them but i do not have one and it has been many years since i have seen one .
