A friend of mine has a Super C for sale. It's a nice looking tractor and runs good but wish it had an aftr-market 3 pt. hitch so I could use a blade, plow and a bush hog on it making it more useful. Right now it just has a draw bar. Does anybody know where I can get one? The only one I've seen was a shop-built one. I don't want to invest a lot of money in this tractor, but would like to have it.
Thanks for your help.

Take a look at this. I have one of their hitches on my SA.

Thanks guys for all of the info and advice. I saw the Saginaw hitch on Ebay and noticed that it has a hydraulic ram. This wouldn"t work on the one I"m thinking of buying "cause it doesn"t have outlet couplers for a ram. The shop- built hitch I saw had 2 long arms probably 6 foot long that connected to the little arms that are under the gas tank just behind the motor. I think these were designed for a front mount cultivator. The one EBAY is in CT. and I"m in western Nebraska, with pick up only. It"ll be interesting to see what it brings though.
Thanks again for your help.

Right now there is a Saginaw 3pt available on ebay if you are local to CT. I have one and it is great.

"Don't want to invest a lot of money," and an aftermarket 3pt are mutually exclusive terms. There's no "cheap" aftermarket 3pt. They start at $500 I guess, but I've personally never seen a new one for less than $600. Used ones are far and few between, and bring almost as much as new ones unless you can find some old farmer who doesn't know what he has. If you find a used one for half price of new, you are truly lucky and should jump on it.

Also, these 3pt hitches have serious limitations. There is no depth control, so plowing is nearly impossible. They also have limited lifting and pulling capability due to the fact that the tractor is not designed to carry loads where the 3pt hitch is attached. Mowers, york rakes, back blades, carry-alls... That's the kind of stuff you'll be able to use. Plowing the back 40... Forget it, you need a fast hitch for that.

I have tried two different hitches on my SC. Don"t have a Saginaw but think it would be best. The ones that drive off the touch-control all have drawbacks. Recently saw a saginaw on E-Bay. You might check it out. I think you would be real lucky to get a new one with everything needed for $500,maybe closer to $800.

Rod,
Saginaw sells one, but it's gonna set you back about $500. I recently bought a fast hitch for that same amount for my 52 SC, wanting to keep it original. I'm still waiting on the seller to send the required hydraulic manifold that he assured me was included, but later admitted was still on the tractor he robbed the hitch off of. That's been about seven months now. Don't know if I'll ever see it. I won't tell his name here yet, because I still believe he's gonna send it, but my patience is running thin. I hope he will read this and get the lead out. He knows who he is.

Seven months is long enough for being patient, I would give him a wake up call. Hal
PS: If he doesn't respond a wakeup call every morning, only I would call earlier each morning.
