I just took home a cream seperator the other day. It has both the hand crank and electric motor. The thing is in terrific shape as all I did was wax it and it's ready to show.
I would like to find a manual for it...does anybody know where I could find one?
Thanks.

I've seen those manuals on Ebay from time-to-time.

Hi Young Red, we had one of those models back in the 1940/50s. I think the model was a 5S. If I remember correctly the only difference in the models was the number 3,4 or 5 refered to the number of pounds of cream that could be separated in 1 hour. We would have to crank it by hand when the power went out during a summer thunder storm. I believe the motor takes a 20 amp 115V circuit, hence the funny 3 flat bladed plug.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

the only 'tag' on it is the one on the electric motor itself. I will check on it and let you know what is on it.
it has 'mccormick deering' on the round part and made in canada under the electric motor. there is also an on/off switch right by where the electrical cord goes in. the plug that goes into the wall has three straight prongs om it...it won't go in a regular outlet.

Just a first thought is many of those electric motors had to be cranked up a bit before you pluged it in otherwise you can burn the motor out. Under powered by todays standards. I have no idea on yours, as it may take the full load. Dave NE IA

do you have a model number? Is it maroon or cream colored? It sounds like a late model. I have a manual for the 2, 3, 4 & 5S models that I could copy. Also check out ebay or Amazon.com
