Working on the tranny of my H farmall, and as the book reads, the coupler to the belly pump is also a nut on the end of the shaft, can not get the "nut" loose, are these left hand threads or is there a secret i dont know about?
thanks jk20

As others said, regular right hand threads. Put the PTO in gear and lock something on it to keep it from turning. I use an old PTO yoke that fits on the pto shaft and a bar though that. Then get a 1/2 inch square bar and put it in the slot of the coupling. If you can't get enough leverage to break it loose by hand, a couple sharp raps with a hammer on the bar in the proper direction will usually break it loose. Once started, it'll likely come off by hand.

That belly pump coupler has a regular right hand thread where screws onto the countershaft.

Getting it started can be a PITA - I find a large (24") pipe wrench usually will do the trick. Fortunately once you get it broke free it usually spins off the rest of the way easily by hand.
