A friend of mine is restoring a Regular. I t has the clamp-on rims and was wondering if the ORIGNAL colors were both gray hubs and rims. A lot of folks have painted the hubs red and rims silver. Just wondering about the ORIGNIAL colors.
thanks

technically, a regular would not be original with rubber tires. IH didn't start offering rubber tires till 1932 and the that was the last year the Regular was built. So very few if any would have had rubber tires. The first rims for rubber tires offered were F&H round spokes and they would have been all red. Cast wheels with demountable rims didn't come out till 36 or 37 and they would have been all red, or red centers with silver rims.

On a regular the origional wheels were all red unless there was an aftermarket wheel put on it.
