Hello,I ran across a farmall c with a very stuck engine,I'am trying to figure out what a fair offer would be.The tractor quit running the lady dosent know if it was because the motor seized up or ran out of gas,the tractor is complet, but one rear tire and rim is unuseable, the outher one is weather cracked may hold air maybe not, front tires are weather cracked but holding air,she wants 500 for it, I think its to much, dont want to cheat her but dont want to cheat me either. What do you guys think?

Well you guys are a bunch of cheap old farts that super C would part for more and when ya got it up and running you would want 5000 grad for a 250 investment where is that thing at i would give her the 500 and take it and put it in the dead row at TRI GREEN's for the next sale and still make money on it .

What i am tellya is that if it is all there and the only problem is and engine and one bad tire and wheel and you want something to tinker with 500 bucks is nothing and ya already beat her down to 400 if it was in the northern half of Ohio i sure would go after it , heck i went out during a major snow storm to look at a cub that was suppose to be JUST LIGHTLY STUCK and when i got there it had two junk tires one blowen out back tire but it was all there i got it bought as i did not just go for the beer got it on my truck and took it home couple days later pull the hood and the head well yep it was stuck as you could not see where the piston ended and the cylinder began all 4 holes were that way and the block was cracked from the cylinder almost to the ouside put it back together and loaded it up on the trailer and got up the next morning at 3:30 and hauled iot off to Tri green's and set it in the dead row and it went to one of the salvage buyers for 875 so if it is loacted with in 150 miles of me then will talk .

Yea that is a bit far as that is WAY PAST MY EASTERN TRAVEL LIMIT as i do not like going east of I 79 even though i have under duressAnd only did Mass. twice and told the guy that i worked for that i would quit the next time that he sent me that way. I will run west and south . There is a truck that i saw in one of the truck papers that i liked but it is in Ny. and so i will keep looken.

I know just what you mean,I was a long haul trucker for years{from up here its along haul anywhere}gave it up a few years back, now just drive a 10-wheel dump, less stress and gives me time for hunting TRACTORS,problem is they all seem to be out your way,to far to go get them.

It sounds too high to me. Figure what it would
cost to fix it right and then see what good
running c's are bringing. I think that you'll
find that you can buy a runner a lot cheaper overall. If you think you have to have this one
in particular, I wouldn't give more than 250.00
for it.

Thanks for the replys,250 is what I offered her,she would take 400,look's like a pass to me.not sure what a rebuild would be iam guessing 1500 or so new rear tires 500 maybe, one rim 100 or so,all this is a guess how close am I? and if you counted labor,I think every one is right cheaper in long run to buy a nice running one.To bad, I'am afraid that C will just sit and rust away, we need to save all the old iron we can but sometimes it's just not possiable.
