We are restoring an old steel wheeled #8 2-16 slat bottom plow. Where should I start looking for a new long landside, for the rear bottom? This is a pretty old plow.

Loren: I eliminated the middle aged grouch, and today I have the plow parts I wanted.

Loren: Just the other day a delightful young lady who works at our local TSC store, told me she could get me any old plow bottom part ever built in North America as long as I had the old one with me. I was inquiring as I sold an Ace bottom plow to a guy in the US. She then assured me this was the case in Canada, but she wasn't sure about in the US. The very next day I returned with my old part, and a middle aged male grouch told me he couldn't order the part. Guess I'll just have to learn the young lady's work schedule.

I had gone there as I hadn't bought plow parts for two years and a neighbor tried to tell me TSC were no longer selling old plow parts. I know when I bought my landsides from that same TSC store two years ago, the source was IA or IL.

I would expect this being the case, TSC either side of the border can get the parts. Just watch out for middle aged plow grouches.
