I am trying to get the hydrolic system on my H working and am not sure how to plumb the hydrolics. I have a Char-lyn remote valve that was mounted on the deck when we got the H years ago. It was plumbed but the hoses were rotten so we removed the system and caped the pump ports. I want to put the remote valve back on but don't remember how it was plumbed. I know these H's have singe acting hydrolics and the rear port on the left side is a delay port. I am not real up on hydrolics but I think most modern implements, mowers, drag scrapers, disks, etc have double acting hydrolic cyls, am I right? Can the H be made to work with double acting implements?. If its any help my remote valve has two inlet ports and two outlet ports. The outlet ports have quick couplers installed on them. It has a short handle that auto centers and can be moved either forward or backward. Thanks

Run a hose from the port out of the pump on the right side to the inlet on the control valve. The outlet from the control valve goes to the standpipe or fill pipe of the tractor pump using a tee. To have pressure at the control valve the lever on the pump must be held back.

thanks a bunch for the help guys. That web site is very helpfull. I do have one question though. In the web site that guy plumbed his return line into the drain on his pump because he says he when he plumbed it to fill spout he had oil pukeing out the breather. I like plumbing to the fill pipe better but was wondering if anyone else had the puking problum?

I think my main problem was that I put a tee fitting on top of the fill pipe and the cap right on top of that. If I would have extended the pipe above the tee, then put the fill cap it probably wouldn't have been a problem. I think I had it overfull as well because the implement I was using it on needed more oil to lift up all the way.

Extend the pipe above the tee and you'll probably be fine.

That is the best place i didnt want to confuse you. If you put a long stand pipe on the tee and then use the vented cap it shouldnt puke unless you overfill with fluid. The stock I-H two-way that bolted on top of the standpipe didnt puke. There are two of them on e-bay rite now if you would like to see one.
