The Draft Lever on my 1066 does not work properly. When pulled back, it wants to spring back into the down position. There is no implement attached to the 3-point.

What do I need to do to fix it?

Tighten the bolt in the control rod bearing support it is on the back side and is a 5/16th's bolt that goes thru , it may be rusted so becareful as it will break the best way is to remove it and clean the threads and add a dab of neverseeze then tighten it up just enough to add friction to hold the draft sencening lever in place but not enought that it will not move it is sorta of a feel setting .

Thanks Tractor Vet. Where is this bolt located exactly? Do I have to take any covers off?

Wick,

Follow the lever down to the base; you'll see the clamp. There is one for each lever.

If you use the 3-point a lot, this is usually a yearly chore to "give 'em a little snug".

Thanks Allan. I don't use the 3 point on this tractor at all but it bugs me if things don't work right. I know, I'm weird.

I'm the same darned way. If something doesn't work right, it just drives me bonkers 'til I get it fixed.
