WHAT WOULD THE MODEL OR NUMBER BE FOR A 38HP 4 CYL DIESEL IH TRACTOR MADE IN 1975?

I think starting with 454 & then 464 they were 4-cyl gas and 3-cyl Diesel (the 179 -half the 358 same bore & stroke). Hence maybe a 424, 434 or maybe 444.

Allen: Depends on where you live, if in US, KB is most likely correct, if in Canada it would probably be the British built 444.

Allen: 384 would be right on the hp end, but I don't think the year would be 75. My memory is slipping on this one, but I don't think 84 series came along until 77 or 78. Definately not 75, I just found the 75 buyers guide. 444,464,454,574 and 674. That is the Canadian guide, US will be different.

Mabey a 464? Not sure if those had a 3 cylinder or a 4 cylinder diesel.
