I have a 1944 H. The lift unit works fine, however: The rubber mounted hydraulic fittings coming off of the lift pump on both sides of tractor vibrate when the clutch is engaged. When the clutch is depressed the vibration stops. The vibration has loosed the four bolts securing the plate that covers the pump. Out of balance? Something is not seem right. What do I have going on and how do I remedy it? Thanks.

I take it the "rubber mounted hydraulic fittings" are the three (2 on the left, one on the right) 3/4 inch pipes sticking out the sides. They're not really rubber mounted, they screw into the sides of the pump unit ("Liftall" is Farmall's name for it.). The rubber is mostly a dust seal. I'm not sure about "the plate that covers the pump." There are four bolts in the bottom of the clutch housing that hold the pump in, the part they go through is actually the bottom of the pump unit itself, not a cover. Are you sure the vibration is causing the bolts to loosen and not the other way around? That is, have you tried tightening the bolts to see if that helps?
Also, there is a sort of sheet metal cover at the rear of the Liftall that's secured with two bolts. If you take that cover off you can look up inside to see the drive shaft that connects the Liftall to the transmission. You could look to see if the shaft is wobbly, if the connection looks right. If there's nothing obviously wrong, you may need to take the pump out and have it openned up to find an internal problem.
Good luck, Wm

I dont know what you have when you say the rubber hydraulic fittings . The pump is a gear driven pump with round steel balls that hold the pressure. How about the fitting that runs the pump from the tranny are both pins in it and hooked up right? The clutch deal is becuase it runs off the tranny and its always running when the clutch is out and when you push the clutch pedal down it disingages the pump. You may have a broken tooth on one of the gears inside I supose or there is a rubber mount in the clutch housing in the center of the drive shaft maybe thats ripped or bad also. Just a few things I can think of to check JON
