NOT trying to strike up controversy....But, does the IH wide front offer any functional advantages over the factory IH type. I'm not cuttin' on IH, but from my experience with our CASES, those tie rods sittin' out front are askin' for trouble. They aren't straight for long. They make poor bumpers. Glenn F.

Couple of front suitcase weights help protect the tie rod on my 1030.

In my experience, the Schwartz wide front turns slightly easier at the wheel.

The Schwartz is built heavier than the IH with tie rods out front. Once you get to the IH with tie rods behind, the strength differences are minimal, if any.

Just my opinions and experience.

Depends on the model of front end.

On the "out front" type, I really think that the Schwartz type is better. Turns one heck of a lot shorter and is not left/right dominant.

I'm pretty sure that's why IH did away with that style. BIL used to own an 830 and later a 930 Case, both with wide fronts. Those out in front tie rods were always getting bent.
