I am rebuilding the Distallate Carb in my 41 H. Who offers the most complete kits? When I took it apart, I found that the choke shaft was broken and had been repaired. The choke butterfly appears wrong too (doesnt fit right). Do any kits come with the choke shaft and a new butterfly? Looks like it can be broken by pulling to hard on the choke rod?
Thanks in advance

Tisco has two levels of carb its, the basic (pn BXXX) and the complete (CXXX). The complete kit has throttle and choke shafts, and the choke plate.

Before I used the choke shaft from this kit, I would braze the lever to the shaft. They are just pressed together and with use, the lever can get loose on the shaft.

After that, try your IH dealer for individual parts. I could not get the spray tube from the dealer, but it was in the complete kit.

A&I has kits complete with new choke shaft and butterfly. The only parts not included are a new fuel inlet and the packing gland for the load adjustment screw.

Go to a Case/IH dealer and be sure to have carb in hand when you do. Most kits will not have all the parts you need but Case/IH should be able to get or have what you need.

If you get a kit from Tractor Supply or Rural King, You will still need a kit from the IH Dealer to get all the parts you really need.

My last post didn't say what I really meant to say. You need a aftermarket kit and a IH dealer kit to get all the parts for a carb overhaul. You end up with extras, but you have everything that needs replaced. ken

Your local TSC might carry one. Used one for gas farmall 400 and have seen quite a few other kits available.
