I have a set up,operating and parts book dated
1-31-40 on the McCormick-Deering "Little Genius"
which was a 2-3-4 bottom pull type plow on steel.
If I had some casting #'s we could see if they
match up.Please E me if I can help. Chuck

Kirk: I have two IHC plow parts books, that together contain about 65 different models of IH plows going back to the 1930s. Your discription fits a few of them, thus I have a few questions.

Can you post a photo? Are you sure of that paint color? IH used red frames, with black or dark blue ground working tools and cream colored wheels for as far back as I can remember. I presume this plow has a tail wheel. Does the tail wheel have a linkage going to front wheels, which activate the rear wheel lift? Answers to those questions will help, but remember a photo is worth a 1,000 words.

Kirk: Part numbers from plow beams and other frame parts may be the quickest. Quite often moldboards were used on several models thus part numbers from them will not necessarily nail it down.

I say plow beams as that is probably the quickest find for anyone looking through a parts book.
