we are selling the tractor and are having difficulties deciding which model it is. The serial number is 5713966 or fm x4b11 We are getting mixed reviews from the 1930's through the 1950's W-4 model and M....any ideas? I have pictures if this helps

Looks like it is a McCormick W-4 although it might be a W-6.

Post a picture and we will identify it. Did that number come off the serial number plate on the bell housing. If so, it should have a prefix.

I have posted a picture titled 1950's International on the Tractor photos page. I hope this helps you all to identify it better. The serial number is off the side of the engine on a metal plate and that is all there was.

Guy Fay reads these forums time to time and if can't tell you, nobody can. Just my opinion. I looked in my book, and the only thing I Found was that "X4" meant Shopmule. Send me a picture and I'll give it a try.
