What can you tell me about a farmall A blade? Is a front mount blade and a grader blade the same only the mounts are different? I am looking for one to buy and want a blade for the front for pushing snow. Any info or pictures of one would be greatly appreciated.

I have one of these. It can mount on the front in the winter for now, and in the middle as a grader blade.

You can see the manual at>Link

click on the jpg's (ie>Link
a60-1.jpg>Link ) to see the pages.

Not sure who's site it is but I found it very helpful when assembling and repairing the blade I found.

What should a guy expect to have to pay for one of these blades in good condition?

I found mine listed in the classified here for about $100 close to home. It needed a little welding ont he frame but was close to working. I have also seen them advertised more often for about 600 or so.

If you don"t have a lift mechanism you will need a manual lift as well

Thanks for the price information. I know of one for sale, so need to go check it out. The guy doesn't know what model tractor it is off of, so I guess I need to do some measuring to see if it will fit my IH AI. Yes I will need the manual lift mechanism too. Thanks too for the link for the manual.
