My little A has been leaking fuel at the shut off valve. I aquired a new fuel bowl assembly and was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of thread sealant I need to connect it to the tank. MANY THANKS

I just did that today on my 706. White tape on the threads. I purchsed a hose connector nipple from NAPA. This screws into the bowl and allows you to use standard fuel line hose.
Use tube cutter and cut out the old fuel line any where you want before the carb. Add fuel line and 2 hose clamps and you done. Easy on and off the next time. No more cracking the fittings so they leak.

Tom, if the fuel bowl assembly did not come with a screen in the top make sure to buy one for it.
They are available most anywhere including TSC.

I would use Gasoila "soft set". I use on it natural gas pipe lines and any pipe fittings used with the different fuels. Hal

I use the same teflon stuff I use in my plumbing projects. I use steel brake line from NAPA from the sediment bowl to the carburetor. It's kinda hard to bend but the end result is great and it's cheap. Dave.
